The surveyor explained what would be required and cautioned about lack of space for draftproofing but thought it would be fine (it was). Russell arrived early (but not too early) and got on with the job. Was polite throughout and was finished in a couple of hours. Cleared up and showed me how it all works. Great job and very reasonable price. If I wanted any further work done in the loft (I don't at the moment) Access4Lofts would be the first I'd ask to quote.

Two weeks after the survey Russell my installer arrived, at the quoted time he was very polite and professional. After a short run down of what to expect , and after laying down carpet protection, Russell began the Installation. I opted for the raised boards so to allow for the proper height of Insulation, and also the shelving between the trusses. There was very little noise during the installation, almost didn't know Russell was working away up there. The whole install took the quoted time and after Russell had finished and cleared up, you wouldn't have even known he had been there. Russell then demonstrated the new ladder and how to extend and close it. Finally we went up to the loft to inspect what I can only describe as an A+ First Class Job. This has been a fantastic experience from the moment I picked up the phone to call Access4Lofts Colchester to Moment I saw the completed Installation. I would seriously recommend this company to anyone.

We initially had some work completed in Nov 2022 by Jim, we knew at the time we wouldn't be able to have the loft fully boarded due to an old water tank blocking access to other half of the loft. We have now had the 2nd half boarded again by Jim. With the help of Access4Lofts we have turned a unusable area into the perfect storage area. Both times Jim has produced excellent work and is very friendly and polite. He has excellent customer service and tradesman skills. I have recommended Access4Lofts to another friend who have since had work completed and also was very happy. Des and Phil who came to complete the quotes was also very friendly. I had a great experience with this company from start to finish. Des arrived timely to measure up (with a huge wardrobe in the way of the loft hatch too which he helped me move), answer all my questions and take me through all the available options as well as provide a timely, competitive quote. I was grateful for the work itself to be carried out promptly too as decorating is starting next week. Phil and Jim arrived timely to remove existing loft hatch, install new wooden platform (for ladder storage), new ladder and new wooden hatch. They were done within the time stated and were very tidy, professional, friendly, happy to answer lots of questions and didn't mind lots of people including cleaners moving around where they were working. They gave a demonstration of how the ladder worked etc and exceeded my expectations in terms of my specifications. I would absolutely recommend Access4Lofts. We required a loft ladder, insulation and boarding, we also needed the ladder doing first and then the rest after some other work had been completed so two visits, this wasn't a problem at all and we also had to move the dates around and they were really accommodating. Simon checked with me when he arrived what work we'd asked for and it turned out that I hadn't explained myself properly at the initial quote. This wasn't any trouble though, Simon measured up and we had a revised quote within a few hours and we didn't have to wait, the work was completed over the same two days with Simon working long hours. The work was to a high standard and now our loft looks enormous, we're really pleased.

Des and team have transformed our precariously, partially, boarded loft space with storage scatters in all corners of the loft, to a clean and tidy user friendly space. The team reinsulated the loft space, boarded the floor and installed shelving between the loft joists, so that our storage is now easily accessible and off the floor. We no longer have to crawl across the joists, in fear of falling through the gaps, to retrieve items from the loft. Our loft ladder was replaced with a sturdy telescopic ladder which is so easy to use and is of excellent quality. All the work was carried out to the highest standard and the team left everything clean and tidy. We could not be happier and would happily recommend Access4Lofts.
