Peter was really lovely, arrived right on time and carried out everything offered in the quote cheerfully. He had to repoint one side of the frame and did this as part of the service, which he explained. The hall is revolutionised, because what was a gappy, heat-losing and unsafe hatch (broken latch, extremely heavy door, narrow and thin ladder that slid left to right & was impossible to get a firm-footing on) is now a flush-fitted, insulated, securely lockable door (which was hand-cut to fit on site) and sturdy telescopic ladder, that although lightweight is really not going anywhere. It’s wide and has deep steps your feet don’t pivot on. Also, the sides are round and chunky, so good to grip. I searched for a really stable, safe ladder – this is it. When I saw the photos online with hand-fitted door & chunky ladder I thought it would be more expensive than others I was looking at, but it was actually cheaper. It comes with a lifetime guarantee because of the company’s good working relationship with their suppliers, which is amazing. The door is light-weight, seals on closing and is insulated by a silver material which has earned it the name ‘The Mork & Mindy Hatch’. Peter didn’t leave any dust and completed the job within 2hrs10mins, he demonstrated how everything worked and gave me a booklet just to make sure. I’m very glad my heat isn’t going up into the loft, my hallway is presentable and although not a grade two listed building, the whole look has been uplifted/tidied up. Many thanks
