Steven Mack, Plymouth – Loft Hatch, Loft Boarding

Having used Access4lofts previously to install a new loft hatch as I was moving it out of the
bathroom, I know that I could rely on them to do a good job to a high standard. I am planning a
heating system change and needed a wider loft hatch and sound flooring for a heavy water tank
in the loft. I booked an appointment for Dave to explain what work needed to be done and he
arrived promptly and at the agreed time, taking notes and measurements, explaining the work
he planned to carry out if I chose to go ahead. This was followed up by a a written quote by
email and a breakdown of costs. I was satisfied with the quote and asked him to go ahead with
the work and we agreed a suitable date and time. The day before the appointment, I received a
text confirming the appointment and offering a phone number to reschedule if I needed to. On
the day of the appointment, Dave arrived on time and, having laid down work sheets
immediately started on replacing the loft hatch and then laying new loft flooring, cleaning up as
he went. Because of the weight bearing requirements of the new loft flooring, Dave explained
what he had done to consider these issues which produced a solution to my satisfaction, which
probably produced a better outcome than the one given by the structural engineer I had
employed to draw up plans. All the work was done to a high standard and looks good, with a
lifetime guarantee. I am happy with what has been done and feel I have had good value from
using Access4lofts to carry out the work.
